These Terms govern your use of the Folk Ledger Studio website and any educational materials we publish on it. They explain what we provide, what we do not provide, and how you may use our content. Please read carefully and keep a copy for your records.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing or using this website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Site. These Terms apply whether you are simply browsing, subscribing to updates, or contacting us.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Site. If you are under the age of 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Site and to submit any personal information through our forms. You confirm that any information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to provide it.

If you use the Site on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms. In that case, “you” and “your” refer to that entity and its authorized users.


2. Service description

Folk Ledger Studio Ltd publishes educational content about evaluating traders and trading-related services. This includes articles, checklists, explanations of verification steps, and general commentary on how to read claims and reviews. We do not provide regulated investment advice, portfolio management, brokerage services, payment processing for trades, or any service that involves holding or transferring client funds. Any examples, templates, or suggested questions are informational and are not a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any instrument. You remain responsible for your decisions and for compliance with laws applicable to you.

We may offer optional email updates. If you subscribe, you are requesting educational messages related to the Site’s content and maintenance notices. Subscription is not required to browse the Site.

The Site may change over time. We may add, remove, or reorganize content, and we may suspend parts of the Site for maintenance. We aim to keep the Site helpful and accurate, but we cannot promise that every page will always be available or complete.


3. User obligations

You agree to use the Site lawfully and responsibly. You will not use the Site in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Site or interfere with anyone else’s use of it. You are responsible for your internet connection, device security, and any costs associated with accessing the Site.

5. Prohibited activities

6. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Folk Ledger Studio Ltd disclaims all warranties and representations, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

7. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to the paragraph above, Folk Ledger Studio Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, business opportunity, anticipated savings, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Subject to the paragraph above, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms is limited to the lower of: (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €100.

You acknowledge that these limitations are a reasonable allocation of risk given that the Site provides educational information and that some parts may be offered free of charge.


8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Folk Ledger Studio Ltd, its directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any rights of a third party.

We may, at our option, assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification. In that case, you agree to cooperate with our defence and to provide information reasonably requested.


9. Third-party links

The Site may reference third-party services, platforms, or resources as part of educational explanation. Any such references are for informational purposes only. Third-party websites and services are not controlled by Folk Ledger Studio Ltd, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

Your dealings with third parties are between you and the third party. You should review their terms, privacy policies, and disclosures before engaging.


10. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, the legal bases for processing, retention periods, and your rights. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

If you submit information through a form, you confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it does not violate any law or third-party right. Where consent is required, you agree to provide it in a clear and affirmative way.


11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Subject to the dispute resolution clause below, the courts of London, England will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Site.


12. Dispute resolution

If you have an issue with the Site, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. You agree to provide a written description of the issue and any relevant supporting details. We will make a good faith effort to respond within a reasonable time.

Before filing a claim in court, you agree to allow a 30-day period for informal resolution starting from the date we receive your written notice. If we cannot resolve the issue within that period, either party may proceed in accordance with the governing law and jurisdiction clause.


13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site (including any subscriber records or form-based access features) if we believe you have violated these Terms, if required by law, or if necessary to protect the security and integrity of the Site. We may do this with or without notice, depending on the circumstances.

You may stop using the Site at any time. If you have subscribed to emails, you may unsubscribe using the link included in those emails. You may also contact us to request deletion of certain data as described in our Privacy Policy.

The following sections survive termination: Intellectual property, Prohibited activities, Disclaimer of warranties, Limitation of liability, Indemnification, Third-party links, Governing law and jurisdiction, Dispute resolution, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive.


14. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Site, legal requirements, or operational needs. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Unless a change must take effect sooner for legal or security reasons, changes become effective 14 days after posting. If you continue to use the Site after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Site.
